Now that school is back in, most of us are turning to thoughts of the fall. For many of us, this means football parties, friends and a lot of entertaining! While I personally love football, I love to host football parties that are fun even for those who are not the biggest fans. To me, this means offering a casual and unique menu that stands out and making sure there is plenty of space for people who want to talk without getting in the way of the die-hard fans!
I love to plan a unique menu each week. I try to stay away from the standard hot dogs, hamburgers and chips in favor of things that are more unique. I love to serve things toasted goat cheese ravioli with red pepper dip, corn and avocado won tons and spicy sausages. For those that can’t live without their burgers, I do a burger bar with sliders and unique toppings like guacamole and roasted red peppers. When the weather gets cooler, I will even pull out my fondue set and make my favorite cheese fondue. It is something that people don’t get all the time, and it always gets rave reviews. Those who are not as much into the game seem to especially appreciate the fondue experience.
Dessert just wouldn’t be the same without the use of my chocolate fondue fountain. Young and old alike are always thrilled to dip pound cake and fresh strawberries in the swirling chocolate. It really makes for a memorable evening!
Planning unique menus takes some time, but it is always worth it. I love to see the smiles on my friend’s faces when they walk in and see the spread I have put on! I love the fact that I can show them a good time!
If you are planning on having parties this fall, why not take the time to make them unique?
